1 X 1 1/4 X 4 BRASS (BLACKFISH) is a bearing that is rubber-lined and lubricated with water. They don't require any seals or lubrication in the form of oil or grease. The water in which the vessel travels provides lubrication, making these bearings environmentally friendly. The high-durability rubber liner resists abrasion caused by water-borne particles. The rubber is also resistant to oil and chemicals.
1 X 1 1/4 X 4 BRASS (BLACKFISH) bearings can dampen noise and vibration thanks to the resilience of the rubber liner. Due to its incompressibility, water as a lubricant provides efficient low friction operation and a stable lubricant film. The standard sleeve series and the rigid outer shell are from a naval brass or a non-metallic composite. The outer shell of the standard flanged series is made of centrifugal cast naval brass.
