6" X 22" BOAT GUARD FENDER (811-31016) is a boat covering system that provides total and complete protection from the deck up. A fender absorbs the kinetic energy of a boat or vessel berthing against a jetty, quay wall, or another vessel. Fenders accomplish this by absorbing a large amount of energy while having a low reaction force. The most common materials used to make fenders are rubber, foam elastomer, and plastic.
6" X 22" BOAT GUARD FENDER (811-31016) are cushions that protect a boat from being damaged by rubbing/impacting a dock (when the boat is moored) or from being hurt by contact with another boat (when multiple boats are moored). Every 10 feet of waterline should have one fender, with a minimum of three fenders on each side of the vessel. Use more fenders than recommended if your boat is heavier than usual for its length or if the mooring conditions are extreme. Rubber, foam elastomer, and plastic are the most common materials used to make fenders. Fenders are either extruded or molded from rubber.
