Michigan Wheel Marine 9 1/4 X 8 A3R PROP boat propeller operates by propelling the boat in the opposite direction by pushing water. It converts rotational energy into thrust; as a result, the spinning propeller raises water pressure to its rear and advances into the area of reduced pressure in front of the propeller, dragging the boat behind it. The forces at work follow Newton's third law. This propeller propels the vessel forward by pushing the water backward. It has a diameter of 9.25 inches and has a pitch distance of 8 inches per blade revolution. It is a little bit lighter with a mass of 3.0 pounds.
