This Michigan Match Aluminum Propeller 142204 has a diameter of 9 1/4 and a pitch of 9. A 9-pitch propeller would move forward 9 inches in one revolution. This propeller is designed with 3 blades for faster boat speed. Additionally, this propeller will increase your boats movement speed.
Like any other propeller, this transfers the engine horsepower (HP) to the water, a term to describe the process is commonly known as thrust. The thrust is created when a propeller pulls the water in front, that is on the boat side while pushing the water out on the backside. The momentum is changed, and the number of propellers affects the pressure differential.
The drag increases proportionally as the number of blades is added to a propeller hub. This shortens the propeller's capacity to hold more water as well as the time element required between loading and unloading water. It is said that a propeller with one blade would be the fastest however not really recommended because water vibration could not be contained.
