The drive shaft's load is supported by the center bearing supports, which also permit axial and radial deflection during acceleration and braking. Through the reduction of resonance frequency and shaft tumbling, they provide the ideal isolation of structure-borne noise and vibration. The driveshaft can bend to the point that it comes into contact with the vehicle's underside if the center support bearing fails. It would cause damage and transform a straightforward part replacement into a lengthy period of downtime and repairs. Inadequate lubrication is the cause of bearing failures. When the wrong lubricant is used, not enough is applied, or if the bearing has in contact with extremely high temperatures that have caused it to degrade, lubrication failure may result.
