The reservoir for the oil pumped throughout the engine is the oil pan. It is often composed of steel or aluminum and is attached to the bottom. Most oil pans have a pump located inside the pan to transfer debris, dirt, and other impurities that circulate throughout the engine. The bottom of the pans has a drain plug so you may change the oil. Depending on the type of engine you have, an oil pan can store four to six quarts of oil. Oil pans may cause oil leaks, which is unfortunate. Over time, the gaskets connecting the pan to the engine block may deteriorate and permit leaks. A damaged washer, an overtightened drain stop, or even rocks and other road debris can all cause a sizable leak if left neglected.

This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
