For most automotive and non-automotive applications, NGK Standard spark plugs are OE approved and recommended for dependable performance. The 5-Rib insulator design on NGK Standard spark plugs prevents flashover, and they are also coated with corrosion-resistant plating for ease of installation and removal. Using cold-rolled threads will avoid damage to the cylinder head. Gas leakage through the shell is nearly non-existent to NGK's triple gasket sealing method. Solid copper cores provide better heat dissipation, conductivity, and a wide temperature range. These small but effective spark plugs create an arc of electricity between two leads that are not touching yet close enough to allow power to pass through.
