The stator is a wire coil contained inside the engine box. A magnet attached to a shaft rotates within the stator, producing alternating current (AC). That current flows through the casing on heavy gauge wire and into the rectifier or regulator that transforms it to DC power with a steady output.
The stator coil supplies electricity for the spark plug and other accessories on small engines. If without a stator, there would be no spark, and the boat would not work. A failing stator might create a weak spark, causing the engine to miss or perform poorly. As the engine heats up, the symptoms frequently intensify.
Key Features:
Generates the energy required to operate the ignition system
Provides energy to refresh the boat's batteries
Meant to be used in conjunction with a stator
Constructed from high-quality materials
Go through testing and processing
Use for heavy-duty applications
Simple to set up
Strong resistance to the passage of high-frequency currents
