Most marine engine harnesses and standard electrical accessory lines include plug-and-play connectors, making rigging jobs easier. These connections are simple to attach or plug into an electrical port. They can remove just as quickly by disengaging the snap-lock by pressing a bit tab. Multiple terminal pins female terminals on one half of the connection, equivalent male pin on the other are coupled to wires and kept within impact-resistant, nonconductive plastic housings in connectors from firms including AMP. Rubber seals at the wire/pin connection and on the connector's mating surface keep water out and corrosion at bay. These connectors also have the least electrical resistance possible, which is best in digital applications.
