The Connector Hei Coil gray is durable and dependable, but it can fail for several reasons. High temperatures and vibration can damage the coil's windings and shielding, resulting in shorts or openings in the secondary windings. Excessive voltage brought on by malfunctioning spark plugs and spark wires is the most frequent cause of ignition coil failure. If a spark plug or plug wire is open or has a high resistance, the ignition coil's output voltage may increase to the point where it burns through the insulation within the coil, igniting the engine.
