The drain plug gasket keeps the engine oil in the vehicle by sealing the drain plug at the bottom of the oil pan. The seal and anti-vibration mechanism minimize damage from a large amount of oil loss caused by drain plug loss. Ensures an excellent seal and no leaks by providing a soft crush interface between mating surfaces. Oil spilling from the bottom of the oil pan could be due to a leaking drain plug or gasket.
