Boat Kill Switch Lanyard

Boat Lanyard Kill Switches. 

According to the U.S. Coast guard, this law applies to "Covered recreational vessels" which means any motorized boat with three or more horsepower that is less than 26 feet in length. When the boat is underway the operator is required to wear a lanyard. The purpose of the lanyard, when clipped to the throttle assembly is to shut off the engine if the operator goes overboard.
