Once a circuit is ready between the capacitor's terminals, the capacitor will start to discharge. The repulsion of the other electrons on the plate will force electrons on the negative terminal off of the plate during discharge. The positively charged plate will pull electrons from the circuit in its direction. As a result of these influences, a current will flow between the plates.
