The Ignition Tune Up Kit is designed for use with select Johnson/Evinrude outboard engines with 3hp - 40hp in various models of 1950-1990. The ignition tune-up is a comprehensive tune-up that includes replacing spark plugs and wires. The kit is used in the process of inspection and replacing other components necessary to ignite and engine operation. The several problems that could happen if there is no tune-up are the difficulty in starting. It can be prevented by a proactive tune-up.
