A flange is a tiny protruding flat rim, collar, or rib on a screw for strengthening or attachment. When used in appropriate situations, flange screws are exceedingly secure. It is a fastener with a skirt that extends outwards from the head at a 360-degree angle.
These screws apply pressure where the screw contacts the surface without requiring the area required for a washer. Flange screw removes the need for a separate washer, which saves both space and money. Flange bolts in most industrial applications secure connections are critical to production. They retain bond firmly without slippage or loosening.
