The fuel pump assembly, also known as the fuel pump module assembly, is the component in a gas tank that delivers gasoline to the engine that ensures that clean, pressured gasoline gets to the fuel injectors. The fuel pump assembly includes several additional parts, each of which has a specific purpose in the gasoline pumping system aside from the pump itself.
The fuel pump assembly provides the necessary gasoline supply with proper pressure and timing. It draws petrol and pushes it under high pressure into the fuel lines. A few essential components that make up the assembly include a screen filter, gasoline pump, and fuel pressure regulator.
