The GASKET DRAIN OIL (REC09168-12017) Recmar gives a more uniform seal to the mating surface of the fastener. After repeated load and unload circumstances, all fasteners lose some tensile strength and stretch.. With this in mind, the gasket drain oil can aid in a good seal after the fastener has stretched. It fits tightly and flushes, offering a considerably more tight and secure fit than plastic or rubber seals, and it seals for much longer.
