An intake manifold gasket is a flexible, fitting element of an automobile engine that helps maintain chamber temperature by preventing air from seeping out during fuel combustion. Most automobiles have a "fuel combustion" engine, which implies that they obtain their energy from a succession of small explosions driven by gasoline. However, these explosions require oxygen, which is usually obtained from the outside environment via the intake manifold. The gasket connects the intake pipe to the engine's cylinder heads, and its role is to prevent air from seeping out, which might lower the car's efficiency.
