GASKET THERMOSTAT (REC6G8-12414-A0) purpose is to form a seal between two surfaces thermostat housing and the engine. It helps to keep any liquid from escaping that causes leakage out of the engine through the thermostat housing. It assists the cooling system in shielding the engine from overheating which can cause serious trouble.
