The hi-performance conversion kit includes many of the best features as the standard for conversion kit, but it is more intelligent. A powerful Microcontroller is used in the high-performance variants to change the dwell based on the coil current level. Peak energy can be maintained across the whole RPM range with variable dwell. Between 3000 and 5000 RPM, the hi-performance conversion kit systems generate up to four times the power of ordinary ignition systems. The high RPM performance is improved when the 18-5472 ultra-low resistance 0.6 ohms and 45,000-volt coils are used.
