Description

Trim is the angle of your propeller shaft about the boat. You can lower the angular position of your engine by adjusting the trim. The trim system employs hydraulic rams to adjust the angle of the outboard motor or sterndrive gearcaseand thus the propeller shaft anglerelative to the boat transom over a 20-degree range. Trimming "down" directs the prop thrust downwards slightly. As a result, the stern of the boat pushes slightly upwards, preventing the bow from rising.
