An ignition coil's job is to transform a vehicle battery's low current into enough power to ignite the fuel and start the engine. When an ignition coil fails, it can result in a wide range of mechanical and performance concerns. For a motor to start and a vehicle to run, the ignition must spark at precisely the appropriate time. It will be challenging to start the engine if an ignition coil is malfunctioning and not giving the needed voltage to the spark plugs. It could be a defective ignition coil generating erratic sparks to the spark plugs if your vehicle stalls when you stop or shuts off completely. While there is no service interval for ignition coils, they have a lifespan. If you see any fractures in the plastic or epoxy, as well as misfires, it's time to replace the ignition coils.
