IGNITION COIL - 18-5166 function is to turn a watercraft battery's low current into enough power to ignite the gasoline and start the engine. It has two circuits that are divided into portions. The low voltage primary circuit runs at battery voltage (12 to 14.5 volts) its responsibility is to produce and send the signal to ignite the spark plug precisely at the proper time. A single spark is all it takes to get the engine running on water.
