A lanyard connects the operator's wrist or life jacket to the safety switch. The lanyard is pulled from the safety switch if an operator falls overboard and the engine is switched off. On a personal watercraft, wearing a lanyard reduces the danger of propeller strike and other injuries. Older boats can readily be made safer. The rapid pull on the lanyard stops the engine in an emergency, preventing an unintentional runaway. Switch, lanyard, and disconnect clip are all included. For precise installation instructions, contact the engine manufacturer. 12V/24V DC is the nominal voltage. At 12V DC, it's rated for 10A. Terminals with 7-inch 16 AWG wire leads. IP65.
