Each kit has thorough instructions and top-notch parts that meet or exceed OEM standards. A carburetor is a tool used to combine gasoline and air for spark-ignited engines. Carburetors typically have an accelerator pump, a venturi-shaped air-flow restriction, the main jet, an idling (or slow-running) jet, a choke, and a storage chamber for liquid fuel. A valve well-activated by a float regulates the amount of energy in the storage chamber. When a cold engine starts, the choke, a butterfly valve, restricts air intake and permits a fuel-rich charge to be drawn into the cylinders.
