J/E Impeller - Sierra Marine Engine Parts (18-3082) is the most important part of the cooling system of a boat. It supplies water to the engine to keep it at the proper operating temperature. The impeller is an integral part of the engine's seawater cooling system, which cools the secondary internal freshwater system. It is carefully built from premium materials, high-quality at an affordable price, and designed to meet stringent quality requirements. It is composed of vanes that spin to transfer the liquid from the casing to the discharge point, creating a centrifugal force as they do so. The tips of these flexible vanes can wear out for causes, including regular use or being in sandy water. The impeller may wear out faster if it has abrasive sand-like materials.
