The Mercury Stator produces the electricity to operate the ignition system to run the engine. The ignition stator assembly for use on various 6hp through 25hp Mercury and Mariner 2-cycle outboards. The ignition stator comes with the stator and lead wire harness. The Mercury stator gets damaged with no spark for the engine. As a result, without any spark, it will be difficult to run the engine, and the difficulties will increase if the engine warms up. The symptoms of mercury stator are difficulties running the engine or starting the engine and improper charging of the battery.
