Mercury Thrust washers, also known as rotary thrust washers or thrust bearings, are thin, flat, washer-shaped. Its components are often constructed of cast bronze. Thrust washers support axial loads and keep machine parts aligned along a shaft. They come in rotating assemblies. Loads are equally distributed across the part of the washer's flat surface. Power takeoffs, transmissions, pumps, and watercraft props use thrust bearings. Between a revolving surface and a stationary component, flat washers are used. They are useful in practically any application that includes an electric motor. They are also very competent in accommodating and regulating axial displacement forces. Thrust washers are also beneficial to propeller shafts in maritime vessels since they convert the axial thrust of the spinning propeller into a forwarding or backward motion.
