Ships must be able to maneuver to dock safely in ports and at sea. For this, they need anchors. The anchor head, a weight that generates the resisting forces, holds the entire vessel in place. Have you ever pondered the process of lowering and raising a massive object from the bottom or ocean floor? A device that uses a pulley system to move big weights is called a windlass. A belt or crankshaft turns a barrel that has a chain or cable coiled around it. The crank is attached to the barrel in such a way that it can spin about a central axis and can be either manually or mechanically driven.

This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
