The metal parts encircle the bore and chamber, which improves the head gasket's ability to mend itself. An O-ring is a gasket with a circular loop that joins two surfaces for use. If this simple and little component is absent, the oil may run into the valve guides, which are burned inside the combustion chamber. The clamping pressure surrounding the combustion chamber is raised using an O-Ring.
