O rings are employed to prevent a channel via which a liquid or gas could otherwise escape. It is inserted into a groove and compressed between two surfaces for security. The ring is vital for preventing leaks, limiting wear on other critical components, and ensuring that pieces are properly safe. On the low-pressure side, the ring receives fluid pressure, which increases the ring's force. The ring's malleability allows it to fit into grooves and indentations to create a secure seal.
