Oil Seal - Sierra Marine Engine Parts (18-2031) function is to protect shafts and bearings from dirt, foreign matter ingress, and oil or grease outflow. It is made of an exterior circular metal portion and an inside flexible member that does the actual sealing and is linked chemically to the metal part. It also helps prevent lubricants from leaking from functional machine oil bearings.
