The overflow valves allow passage for fuel from the filter back to the fuel tank. This fuel flow takes place if the pressure inside the filter exceeds a set pressure limit. The location of the overflow valve is outside the injection pump that connects the fuel return line, specifically the banjo fitting to the pump. The overflow valve limits the pressure in a low-pressure region of the fuel system. Buy a cost-efficient overflow valve that is suitable for your boat.
