Volvo Penta created a good accessory like Plastic Washer for your engines. A washer is a thin plane disc with a hole in the middle. Generally, it is used to distribute the load of a fastener like a nut and a bolt. The plastic washer can also be used as a spacer, a spring, a locking device, and to reduce vibrations.
Plastic washers distribute the tensile load, thus preventing damage to the surfaces that are connected. It is also often used to provide electrical insulation.
