A self-contained piece of equipment with a control system known as a power pack provides hydraulic power for offshore applications in the oil and gas sector. The power pack supplied by a diesel engine provides an independent power supply for the hydraulic pump and control systems. In the oil and gas industry, slackline, coiled tubing, and snubbing equipment are all hydraulically operated. Motion in a fluid medium is converted to mechanical force by a power pack. Its objective is to pressurize fluid to perform demanding tasks in offshore oil and gas operations. Since the fluid cannot be compressed, the pressure compels it to carry out its intended function, which is to drive a piston.
