When the engine begins, an electric or mechanical fuel pump takes fuel from the tank via the fuel lines. An electronic fuel pump delivers fuels to the injectors at a predetermined pressure. The injectors spray gasoline directly into the combustion chamber or the intake manifold (manifold injection) (petrol direct injection). Electric fuel pumps are appropriate for boats with high fuel pressures, such as those equipped with turbochargers. Electric pumps are the best alternative if you want a pump that will last a long period.
