Description

The valve rotator is attached to the top or bottom of the valve spring, helping keep valves cleaner, decreasing carbon build-up, and cutting engine emissions - while also increasing the life of the essential engine and valve gear components. Cleaner valves improve engine emissions and avoid valve face and seat burning and guttering. Valve rotators reduce temperature gradient and tension, eliminating the need for expensive nimonic steel valves.

Ensuring that heat is transferred evenly throughout the valve seat Thus helps avoid local hot spots, pitting, and distortion owing to uneven heating.
It also aids in the reduction of abrasive wear and deposits on the valve seat and valve guide. It prevents uneven or inadvertent rotation of exhaust valves by rotating the valve during each operation, extending the valve's overall life.
It protects an exhaust valve against a situation known as burning. When heavy shot deposits on the valve seat resulting in Rotocap failure, the exhaust valve ceases seating properly. The hot flue gas can now travel through the valve face.
