Scotch-Brite General Purpose Hand Pad 8-07447 performs well. It won't tear while in use, corrode after use, or split into tiny pieces of metal. The non-woven, open-web material can be used dry with water or solvents and then cleaned for reuse. Suitable for use with a hand pad block for uniform finishing, by hand for refined control, or on an in-line sander for large-scale coverage.
Aluminum oxide abrasive is used in this maroon hand pad. Due to its affordability and long lifespan, aluminum oxide is preferred among industrial specialists. This material is a robust, long-lasting abrasive that self-fractures to reveal new cutting edges when used. Aluminum oxide is frequently used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and polishing because of its high cut rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention. Aluminum oxide works well on a wide range of substrates, including ferrous alloys, in metalworking and carpentry.
With abrasives mixed into non-woven nylon or other synthetic fibers, these Scotch-Brite & trade industrial abrasive products are distinctive surface conditioning products. An abrasive system that produces consistent results for the duration of the product is created by incorporating abrasives into the fibers. The open-web material resists loads and maintains the cutting efficiency of the abrasive materials by preventing fiber clogging.
