Socket head cap screws are generally utilized in machine components, die fixturing, and clamping. The cylindrical shaft of a cap screw has external threads and a big head. It creates a positive mechanical stop while tightening the screw since the head has a wider diameter than the threaded part. In most cases, cap screws are screwed straight into a threaded or tapped hole without a nut.
Hex socket head screws are also cap socket screws or socket cap screws. A socket cap screw is an expertly crafted machine screw that fits nicely into a counterbored hole. They are perfect for applications where there is not enough room for conventional wrenches or sockets.
