A single piece of PVC extrusion creates a slide channel member for a boat slide channel assembly used to install marine canvas products. This slide channel member has a mounting base and upwardly projecting sidewalls that form a groove track placed almost immediately over the mounting base. The slide channel component is simple to install on a surface with several faces. This particular style of connection has a mounting flange and an offset groove that can accommodate a sliding insert stitched to the cloth. The deck's surface is where the flange is fixed. The fabric is fastened to the deck surface by the sliding insert coupling in the groove.
