Despite their apparent simplicity, pad-eyes have a wide range of geometries depending on their intended application. They are also known as lifting lugs when they are lifting. A pad-primary eye's function is to offer a point to which a rope or wire can be attached, either directly or via a shackle. The opposite end of the rope or wire can be used for hoisting or can be fastened to a different pad-eye somewhere else. Let's provide an example to help you grasp it. These Pad Eyes can be used to securely tie-down your accessories and carry-ons. Featuring a higher profile, they can accommodate larger diameter ropes than standard pad eyes, making them ideal as a deck loop or tie-down for kayaks, roped accessories, etc. Constructed of corrosion resistant forged 304 stainless steel. Installs with two FH fasteners (not included).
