Volvo Duo prop used state-of-the-art IPS propellers. IPS uses a forward-facing, dual contra-rotating propeller pod drive located in the hull bottom instead of a shaft going through the hull. The Nibral (nickel-bronze-aluminum) alloy, which is highly strong and specially designed, ensures minimal growth, good durability, and corrosion resistance. This is a single propeller-only position in the front that rotates in the left-hand direction. The smooth interaction of the front and rear propeller on a parallel plane with the hull eliminates shaft angle and the usual loss of efficiency that accompanies it. Duo Prop can produce unparalleled thrust, straight and true tracking along with better acceleration, ultimately a new boating experience.
