THERMOSTAT 50DG-60DGC (REC6AH-12411-00) detects temperature changes to maintain a relatively constant temperature in an enclosed area. When the temperature exceeds or falls below the desired value, the thermostat generates signals, usually electrical, in a system that includes relays, valves, switches, and so on. It regulates the flow of fuel to a burner, electric current to a heating or cooling unit, or heated or cooled gas or liquid into the area it serves. The thermostat is used in some fire-detection warning systems. It heats or cools to a preset temperature, such as building heating, central heating, air conditioners, HVAC systems, water heaters, and so on. It includes some hysteresis to prevent excessively rapid cycling of the equipment when the temperature is close to the setpoint.Instead of switching from "on" to "off" and vice versa at the set temperature, a thermostat with hysteresis will wait until the temperature has risen slightly above the set temperature before switching.
