Did you know that the thermostat is an integral part of the cooling system and should be checked regularly for correct operation? The Volvo Penta Fresh Water Cooled Thermostat with a new O-ring gasket. It maintains cooling system pressure to allow heat transmission from the heads to the cylinder walls.

The thermostat is critical since it is the component that regulates the engine's temperature by allowing cooling fluid/raw water to cool the engine. Therefore it is suggested to be checked regularly and replaced as per the manufacturer's maintenance schedule
