A TOP WASHER PLATE (20022) Cook Mfg is a type of fastener for conjunction with a variety of bolts and other fasteners. It is a rectangular metal plate with a hole in each end that fits over fastening. These plate washers are often thicker and heavier than ordinary washers. It is very suitable for heavy-duty applications. The use of a plate washer improves the connection's security as well as its strength and support. Plate washers come in a wide range of sizes and styles to satisfy the needs of various sorts of installations. The CMC transom washer is made of robust 3/8" 6061 T6 alloy aluminum (not cast aluminum), which can prevent bolts from "biting" into transoms and distribute loads more evenly on high-performance engines.
