You can see the level of the drive by sending a signal to the Trim Gauge using the TRIM SENSOR KIT (REC805320A03). Additionally, the Trim Limit Switch prevents the driver from over-trimming while driving as a safety measure.
On Mercruiser MC-I, R, MR, Alpha One, Alpha One Gen II, and Bravo Sterndrives, the TRIM SENSOR KIT (REC805320A03) is utilized. On one side of the gimbal ring, on the port side, are the trim senders, and on the other, on the starboard side.
