The Water Pump Housing fits the Yamaha Outboard applications. This will work by being the house of the thermostats and regulating the coolant flow. The rapid cooling causes a thermal shock that causes damage to the water pump housing. Let the engine cool down naturally when it overheats before adding fresh coolant to prevent the water pump housing crack. It will place on the opposite side of the impeller.
