The engine's crankshaft is where the water pump, a belt-driven device, is attached. Its job is to transfer water from the radiator to the boat's engine, keeping it cool. The pump uses centrifugal force to move fluid while the engine is running. The fluid proceeds to the cylinder head and engine block.
