The engine's crankshaft is where the water pump, a belt-driven device, is attached. Its job is to transfer water from the radiator to the engine, keeping it cool. When the engine is running, the pump circulates fluid using centrifugal force. The water is delivered to the cylinder head and engine block. Following that, it goes to the radiator before coming back to the pump.
