Evinrude marine propulsion systems are part of BRP's Weed Ring for 90 hp Johnson/Evinrude line of industry-leading and distinctive products. BRP product lines are supported by dedicated parts, accessories, and clothing companies to fully enhance your riding experience. When installing the weed ring, you must follow a specific procedure. The first is to run the propeller on the boat under hard acceleration to see if a particular boat/motor combination demands the installation of a weed ring. Then, Identify the gearcase if the boat is slow to plane due to excessive propeller ventilation. The propeller loses touch with the water if ventilation is severe. The boat's RPMs will continue to rise, and the boat may not be able to plane. A weed ring limits the quantity of ventilation by controlling the flow of exhaust over the hub.
